RV Electrical Systems: A Basic Guide to Troubleshooting, Repair, and Improvement by Bill Moeller, X
For RVers who remain mystified by their RV's electrical systems--120-volt alternating current (AC) and 12-volt direct current (DC)--this book is a godsend. It provides a better understanding of what electricity is and what it does. This problem-solving reference answers questions such as: "Why do interior lights dim or burn out rapidly?" and, "Why won't the batteries recharge after a night without electricity?" It tells you how to repair and improve electrical systems; how to troubleshoot faulty brakes, taillights, and "house" circuits; how to detect dangerous shorts, faulty grounds, inadequate connections, malfunctioning switches, dead battery cells, or current leakage; and much more. This book could save your vacation, or even your life. All you need to know about RV electricity, including: How to safely use a campground hookup. How to increase battery charging efficiency. How to take the pulse of your AC and DC electrical systems. How to recognize and correct dangerous wiring practices. How to troubleshoot electrical problems of all types. How to upgrade your RV from fuses to circuit breakers. How to calculate your electrical needs and upgrade your system to meet them. How to select the most effective components--batteries, alternator, regulator, coverter, charger, generator, solar panels. How to recognize phantom electrical loads that can drain your batteries.

Load cell - A load cell is typically an electronic device (transducer) that is used to convert a force into a differential electrical signal. This device normally consists of four strain gauges in a wheatstone bridge configuration, but are also available with one or two strain gauges.

External electric load - If an electric circuit has a well-defined output terminal, the circuit connected to this terminal (or its input impedance) is the load. (The term 'load' may also refer to the power consumed by a circuit; that topic is not discussed here.

Clamp (circuit) - A clamp or clamp circuit is an electrical circuit used to prevent another circuit from exceeding a certain predetermined voltage level. It operates by sensing the output voltage of the monitored circuit and then if the output voltage threatens to exceed the preset limit, applies an electric load which draws greater and greater current from the output in a regulated manner in order to prevent the output voltage from exceeding the predetermined voltage level.

Electronic Load - Electronic Load (E-Load) is a device that simulates loading on a electronic circuit.

Cell Load Pressure Sensor - Cell Load Pressure Sensor Pressure sensor - A pressure sensor measures the pressure, typically of fluids, at a point in a fluid network. By monitoring the pressure at all nodes in a fluid network, one can often solve the network.
